By a staff reporter
Nokia has invited developers to review its Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Server API. WAP is a procol for optimising the delivery of messaging and web-based information services over wireless networks to mobile devices.

Nokia launched its WAP Server and WAP phone, the 7110, earlier this year. The server platform hosts content, stand-alone applications and hooks to other information systems.

The API includes three interface catagories: a Java servlet API for general application development; a WAP service API for accessing information and services on the WAP server; and a Server Extension API for customizing server functionality.

The API is available at www.nokia.com/corporate/wap>

To all - regarding Maurice's endless : Sure is a fun day ... Are we having fun yet ?

Does anyone know how to rig a virtual reality computer virus so that Maurice's computer squirts grapefruit juice in his face the next time he tries to type in the words "sure is ..." ?

Jon.

<<Anyone think Q! will dive toward $80 tomorrow? Dow towards 10,000 or even down into the 9000s? Are we having fun yet?>>

Let's say 8001, just to move up on the emotional scale from "fun" to *elation*. Squeeze out the excess; shake the ol' tree; flush out the septic tank. And start the next leg up. Unless the new millennium is really the start of the 1,000 years of tribulation, we'll be setting our sights on Dow 16,000 before we know it. (Check back with me at around Naz 2000 and see if I'm still feeling so bold.) ..Tim
