Several studies have been conducted over the past decade attempting to correlate past performance with future performance, and none have shown any relationship. There are a great number of companies that have had years of outstanding performance that are followed by years of poor performance, such as Kodak, Westinghouse/CBS, Motorola, Woolworth/Venator, KMart, DEC, et. al.
