Zeev, pardon me, but you need to turn that tube
around. You're looking down the wrong end of the
telescope!

You're taking a very positive material event and
turning it into proof of a negative. I think your
logic is flawed and that you don't understand at all
how Lev Dawson lets news out.

I'm very long and quite confident that there will not
be any massive dilution. I'm sure you will continue to
predict it until it's 100% clear that you are wrong.

Do whatever makes you comfortable. Good luck with ULBI!

"late in the game" ?

Are you assuming this is all that's happening and all that's going to happen for a few months? If you "view this news release as a major setback", then perhaps you would have viewed no news as a more positive occurrence. The negative spin you've put on this leads me to believe your motives are ulterior. I don't think anyone here buys it.

Zeev: Hmmmmm....positive news = major setback? ROFLOL!! What you drinking in yer coffee? Can I have some? Heh! You've just GOT to have a better argument than THAT! Even Mr. Wexler's argument of moving scam products from one point on the planet to another point on the planet by way of deluding the masses regarding this positive news has more logic, albeit you need to have done one too many drugs in your youth; not to mention having normative mental operating "parameters" which routinely exceed paranoid threshholds.

So major setback? Nah, not a chance. I see it as vindication of their potential, but I DO expect LOT'S more out of them by July. This, to me, is merely an acceptable beginning. Speaking of lot's more out of them, HEY....FRED...just WHERE are you getting those "+90 percentile" figures? Warning, warning, once again you be throwing out reference numbers with zero source points as corroboration(although it'll be a good idea to hit L.D. square between the eyes with your statement at the next c.c.). And if history is any guide, assuming your information source is the same one who's told you "it's around the corner" these past 3 years.....well.....I'd be a little suspicious, to say the least.

Meanwhile, as far as trading goes....VLNC's still range bound....

John~

<Frankly, I view this news release as a major setback for VLNC>..
Zeev, IF someone expected the latest news release to be a major PO...then I could agree with your disappointment...but your statement about "all they could come up with" is a bit out of range...quite the contrary...they DO produce the laminat in NI , and only in NI, (according to Lev) at this time...although Lev mentioned that he wants the laminate to be produced as well in Korea , as he does not want to "loose time" producing laminate for Hanil...so the shipment seems quite important to me...regarding the quantity, it looks like they are ready to start producing the batteries in Korea after receiving the laminate..
2. shipment to their own partner?? I guess that Valence, in their joint venture agreement with Hanil , has some responsibility to take care of..and one might just be to deliver them the laminate??
guess Hanil would not be very happy, if Valence NI would just take care of their own business...remember that Hanil is putting up big $$,,
last but not least...I wonder if VLNC gets paid for this shipment by Hanil...IF YES...wouldn't that be enough , to be eligable for the Northern Irish $30+million???? IS that the reason why VLNC postponed the shelf filing???
maybe we do not need another financing in the near future???

With all due respect, Zeev, I think you're missing the boat. From my perspective (and I'll be the first to admit I tend to have a somewhat simplistic view of things), the whole argument about earnings dilution is "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." Even assume that VLNC issues the full $50 million registration in common stock. At $7/share, that would equate to approximately 7 million shares. If my memory serves me correctly, 7 million shares would amount to 25% dilution (approximately). Assuming the bulls are correct, and revenues on VLNC reach $1 billion in 3 years. Assuming a 30% after-tax return, that revenue figure would result in $300 million net income. This net income figure generates EPS 3 years out of approximately $8.5/share. At a P/E of 20, the potential price equates to $170/share. I can live with that, can't you?
