The suspense is killing me.

scott: Well I wish they hurry up and do something, the suspense is killing me,besides I ain't all that thrilled about giving up a chunk of my profit after couple of years of holding the damn thing, last time I counted it amounted to close to a dozen SLKs or Carerras. If they don't hurry up I'll be pricing a used Yugo soon, you know someone who can offer me a good deal on a Yugo -:)

Stockbull, Kemble and Scott:

Strategic alliances are everything. I think that is excellent. Michael knows this. He can leverage the Street with credibility from strategic alliances. Could that be what he is working on?

Stockman, there's no doubt in my mind that a major announcement from Dell could get the stock moving again. However, this is a total unknown. For example, if Dell were to announce that IBM was buying the company for 60 dollars per share, you sure would get a kick in the price. However, I don't know how to separate fact from fantasy. So, I need to analyze Dell's present situation on a factual basis.

Don't get me wrong, as I said many times before, Dell is a great company. It will make a come back. I think it will take some time.

The very best of luck.

Its not clear to me how providing a branded ISP service can leverage
dell's business model (supply chain management) to provide an improved business arrangement? I believe that this would then put dell in play with the big boys in media services, aol, T, athm, etc. which I think is a position of weakness rather than strength. I believe a better opportunity would be one such as an acquisition of a co. like network solutions. I think such a move would alter the dell "perception" from a position of "just a box maker" to a provider of internet connectivity devices, although I'm not sure this would be consistent with focusing on their promary customer : businesses...

IMHO,
