William, you are right about the big companies and patents, but in the last ten years, they can no longer do what they used to do. Congress passed a new law that allow for an immediate injunction, and the infringer, if he wants to continue his operations, must defend itself and fast. Kodak foray into instant photography was a multibillion dollar catastrophe, due to such an injunction (and the following penalties were not so small either). Nevertheless, you are absolutely right, people like your father still have a hard time in that field. Zeev
