SLGX is going public very soon, I just received the prospectus. FWIW, I think any company trying to compete with Siebel will struggle.

hey wizard,

Haven't looked at ACT II (Saleslogix) for a long time. Calling themselves the great plains of front office? Is that a compliment?

I'm not sure how long gpsi can execute well, but that is another story.

Key question on sales logix: what is their channel? I don't really have an interest in mid range enterprise software companies, usually their business models can't scale that well. i also don't think that Sales logix has a VAR channel nearly as deep and committed as GPSI's. perhaps sales logix is as much of a likely train wreck as ONXS. How much work do you want me to do on it?

To add some stuff to other comments on the thread:

I sincerely doubt IBM can buy SEBL, because i doubt Tom considers the company for sale. Perhaps IBM could buy VNTV, but I imagine there's a backlash forming at the company with the execution failures at their corepointless division.
