Hi, Glad to meet you! And welcome to SI. I've owned this stock around 10 or more years and I am in at a loss. Your news is surprising. I sent you a Private Mail message. On SI -- Private Mail is like email. Theoretically only the To and From parties can read it. Click on the number of messages waiting for you up on the upper right of your screen where it says "Inbox" and a number after it in parentheses, when you're on SI to access your Private Mail.

Linda

Headline: Fingermatrix Enters Field of Precision Metrology

======================================================================
ELMSFORD, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 28, 1999--Fingermatrix, Inc.
(OTC BB:FINX), pioneer in electronic fingerprinting technology,
reported today that it has employed its imaging processing and other
skills developed for fingerprinting to the field of precision
metrology and will soon introduce several advanced measuring systems
for use in industry.
This new product line is the first to come out of the company
since its recent acquisition of Sequential Electronic Systems Corp.,
S-Tech, Inc. and FMX Corp.
Lewis S. Schiller, chairman and CEO of Fingermatrix, said
integration of their technologies with those of Fingermatrix make
entry into the large metrology market possible.
"Another example of such integration," Schiller said, "is our
program to provide secure transactions on the Internet using a
fingerprint-based system which combines skills of Fingermatrix and FMX
Corp."
The company expects to demonstrate prototype models of its first
metrology products later this month, Schiller said.

Sure, after the 1 for 19 reverse split FINX may reach the $5 - $6 range. Read the end part of the 4/29/99 announcement (I've pasted the appropriate paragraph from that story below) - do some homework first - the rev. split is supposed to happen in about 2 weeks.

"As soon as practicable a Special Meeting of Stockholders will be held to effect conversion of all the preferred stock issued into common and to increase the number of authorized common shares to accommodate that action. A reverse split of the common, roughly one new share for 19 present shares, will also be voted, bringing the total outstanding down to 5,000,000 shares. Trinity will own 85 percent of the equity, the present stockholders ten percent and certain former Fingermatrix creditors five percent."

I don't think many are aware of this reverse split - it was buried in the news story & not much has been said about it since. I called the PR person for FINX, Gordon Molesworth, he confirmed all that I've said.
