Re: I do put my money on Mike Armstrong either way. T will be a very strong player as soon as they upgrade their cable acquisitions to be internet, telephone and TV ready (one stop shopping). GO! Humbly, QuadK

IMO some people forget some importants factors: 1) How much will it cost & who will be willing to pay it, 2) It's going to take awhile (a yr. or two) until any of these new services are offered and 3) By that time AOL will have a billion subscribers and some arrangement of their own.

Cable vs DSL - The cable in my southern area of the humble corn field state only goes for 750K while the DSL flies at 1.5 Meg. I heard DSL can even go higher than that. The cost is almost the same monthly. So, what the other puzzle is about? My goodness, can't belive that I used to write my own communication program for my company's 300 baud rate modem!!!

DSL vs. Cable

While ATHM and BRCM seem to be two of the best cable broadband plays, what are the best plays for companies involved in the DSL approach to high-speed access? Any ideas/ opinions from the thread would be welcome.
