frank...re dell

dell my largest holding since 97...then intc, msft, emc, aol on the long side...

short 0160, 0155 dell, 01200 aol, 01150emc, june80 msft puts...

2% cash...no margin..i believe in full investing, because there is no such thing as a bear market, just pauses, some longer, others deeper in an upward 75 year trend.....my favorites now intc, msft and looking hard at cpq....yes, cpq....don't underestimate where it may be in 18-24 months...(and i bought a bit of netp, that scott counts...small cap long shot..main investor i believe paul allen, has ex msft ceo..take a look at it..makes sense!)

markets much different over last five years, most investors haven't experienced a long, like about two year down turn...major impetus imho that moves stocks is perception....proof is why else did the phenoms of biotech and internet issues occur..remember not that long ago stocks with their dividends returned more than bonds...today, no divs only appreciation....and inspite of what the stalwart "chairman dell" followers quote chapter and verse about, as westmoreland said last night.."perception becomes reality"...in your biz, how much is talent, how much is promotion....same in any biz, the more media covers, the more who have to be visible! thanks, ed a.
