Complain, complain and complain, ask to speak to a manager, kick up a fuss. Make sure they know who you are so they do not do it again.

Look at the daily chart, it never seemed to reach 55.5. The market is currently so valotile. You might be happy about your order not being filled when you look back next week. Who knows. Just try again.

"they said by the NYSE only". This wording doesn't make sense. I don't know how Accutrade works but perhaps you put your order in on the Nasdaq when it should have been put in on the NYSE? Also, the ASK price may not have reached 55.50 - in other words, the 55 3/16 reflects the BID (what you could sell it for) not the ASK (what you can buy it for) price.
