John,

Intel has said publically that ASPs have been stable for several quarters.

PIII prices have been falling about 30% per month since their introduction, two months ago.

INTC has one sort of good trading day, and the thread is back in denial.

John - <....meanwhile back in the real world...>

Once Scumbria makes a statement like, "If Intel sold all their CPUs at $100, what would the stock be trading at?", it's a slippery slope to stay out of Fantasyland(tm Disney).

John, RE: Intel has said publically that ASPs have been stable for several quarters.

I was under the impression that Intel said publically that ASPs are unchanged from a couple of years ago. I took this to mean that ASP dropped in the second half of 97, and recovered with the introduction of Xeon.

Is my impression incorrect?
