<<Here. Have a cheeseburger while I get us a drink. >>

The only part of your post I was smart enough to comprehend and I'll drink to that.

Oh, Drowning. Got close once. The relaxed part. Hard to come back. Glad I did.

Your post is, of course, excellent. Splendid. Of course.

While I was reading it, though, about 4/5 of the way through, I started thinking about the people who go through the same experience you did, and then die. Some of them, that's what they are there for. One law firm I worked at represented people with asbestosis, and the lawyer I worked for told me about a client of ours he watched die by drowning in the fluid in his lungs. It took a long time. Weeks. About a month. I wonder if he worked as hard as you did to live.

I mean, he was there to die. There was nothing else for him to do. He knew he was dieing, but he couldn't help fighting. (We got a lot of money for his family).

I know Kerrie fought as hard as she could. It took her about a month to die. That could have gone either way, I guess, but after a while (couple of weeks) "she" was gone, but her body kept fighting.

I am so glad for you that you survived.

I am so glad that you are here.

I don't think I could have done so well. Hope I never find out.

I am sorry it's taking me This Fing Long to get back to you. Awesome story. Scary awesome.
Two questions. 1) Did you ever get so tired you just wanted to give up? How did you beat that?
2) How did you know that you were over the worst of it? How did you feel then? (emotional state) I don't know if I would have been relieved at having topped the crest - or suddenly had enough spare synapses to get really angry/depressed. At my bod fro being such a troublemaker.
