Tom, with the inherent volatility and the markets and cyclical growth stocks, what is the typical length of time a stock such as csco, emc or amat would reside in an investment portfolio before being sold out due to P&F indicators?

Stocks such as those I listed have been in my investment portfolio since '96 or earlier. And cyclical growth stocks hit a deep trough every few years while tech stocks are normally subject to periodic retracements of 30-50 percent. My sense of portfolio management by P&F would be these types of stocks would have been sold out from the portfolio with short-term capital gain taxes applicable and before their long-term promise came to fruition. Has this been your experience?
