Yeah that is what happened bp. First Dan was suspended for a few days at the request of Bill Vaughn. Thats my first complaint, I don't think that should have ever happened for 2 reasons - Bill Vaughn isn't "clean" enough to complain about somebody else in my eyes and also in the past (when I was suspended I think) Dan asked SI about the tone of this thread and the response he got from them was "wear a cup". Alright so then he is suspended for a few days but then decides to login under gnet. I don't think he thought of it as some huge violation but rather just a loophole. And if you look at the gnet posts he made to neocon it certainly was NOT the old abrasive Dan. I mean it clearly was Dan because he was posting NYT articles etc. but his most caustic post was "What I can't believe is how the conservatives can dish it out and can't take it". That was pretty much it. He did choose the moniker of "Neocom" but big deal. Anyway I'm sure he never thought this would rate a lifetime suspension (and I'm not saying that neocon intended it to be that either) but again, its just a series of things.

Right. Janice Shell got a suspension, waited it out and came back to post 23,402 replies.
