To board:
I just had an idea, although i'm sure others have had the same idea before, but what does everyone think of GNET eventually spinning off Silicon Investor in an IPO offering? I think they should wait a while, and build on SI's content to build into web financial portal, possibly even building into an online brokerage. Or even with paul allan's cash, buying possibly an obscure online brokerage, and first merging with SI's web site, then spinning off in IPO. Would it fly?

Maybe the big boys new what to do before they left on vacation and placed an order to cover all internet shares and load up on them slowly over the next week. I think next week will pull us to 110-115 and then we will move to 140 by the end of june. Then 175 by earnings.

Think it was both, Dave.

I'm convinced that Thursday's 235 point Dow dive was attributable to pros. Many weren't planning to come in Friday and expected bearish economic data so they bailed. The Naz held up well, although the Nets took a hit.

Today, the economic data painted a pretty good picture. We rallied from about 10:30am on, albeit on modest volume (but quite respectable for a holiday eve). There was unmistakable short covering on the Naz in the last hour; that seemed to take the Naz up 15-18 points.

The markets looked healthy for the first time in several weeks. Note that the drugs were strong, too, a great sign. June should be a bullish month.
