GO MY MESSAGE # 6443- Message 9499307 ON 5-11-99 THEY HAD ONLY 5 % OR 2.37 MILION SHARES. ASSUMING WITHIN THE 14 TRADING DAYS BETWEEN 5-11 AND 5-28, THEY BOUGHT ALL THE TRADED VOLUME (HIGHLY UNLIKELY!)- THAT IS 14 * 1200000(AVERAGE VOLUME)= 16.8 MILLION (APPROXIMATELY!) - WHICH IS ANOTHER 35 %. THAT IS A TOTAL OF 40 % (ACTUAL TRADING VOLUME IS MUCH LOWER THAN THIS FOR THE 14 DAYS! - BY GLANCING AT THE VOLUME CHARTS FOR THE 14 DAYS I NOTICE THAT IT IS NOT MORE THAN 5 MILLION FOR ALL THE 14 DAYS!). IF IT IS ONLY 5+2.37 = 7.37 MILLION ( @ 15 % ONLY !) THEY STILL WON'T OWN VLSI! IT TOOK THEM SEVERAL WEEKS TO OBTAIN THE FISRT 2.37 MILLION! MY GUESS IS THEY PROBABLY OWN ABOUT 17 %, IF THEY HAVE BEEN BUYING AGGRESSIVELY! THEY WILL PROBABLY EXTEND THE TENDER OFFER! IF I AM WRONG, WE WILL FIND OUT JUNE 2, WON'T WE!
