I have moen in my house, The facet in the kitchen keeps breaking, I wouldn't buy from them again. You have to watch out now, what looks like brass is in fact plastic coated chrome. The Labor to install them will be the same for all of them, I was the builder on my house the guys make too much for too little in my book. I also did the finish work, from trim, install cabinets to plumbing, installing facets is easy, heck putting in toilets is easy too. I wouldn't worry about the builder warrantee, what is, two years, both of the facets will not break before then.

Donnie,
OTOTOT Re;Plumbing. In my restaurant we have all Price Pfister fixtures. The replacement parts,(valves, gaskets etc) are avasilable in most commercial supply houses. That way I can do most of the ongoing maintenance. Saves $$$. Maybe a trip to the local Hardware store to touch and feel and ask, "Who's gonna be around in 5-10 years to sell me replacement parts. Fixture companies make their threading ect. different from each other so they alone can sell you the replacement parts. hAPPY SHOPPING! d.h.

I am not a plumber, but more of a handyman. From my experience, these things do last a life time. The only parts that break down are the easily replaceable plungers, seals, handles. Moen and Delta are both good brands.

Besides, installing them is a breeze. Anyone with good hands can do it. Sounds like they are just trying to scare you.
