Walcalla,
Hi!!!

RE: Michael Dell does has a plan. There has been a lot of negativity surrounding MD. and his co. on this thread lately, but those of us who hang on will not be disappointed. I believe you will see Dell acquire one or more companys in the near future. ( 3-6 months)

I love the quiet....

" Partnering"....

Best, Kemble

Walcalla, I agree. I think the signs are unmistakable. Dell has amassed a huge cash position ($4 BB), and has broken with its past practice of aggressively repurchasing shares. Why?

I believe the answer is in acquisitions, but acquisitions allowing Dell to extend its current business model into new areas, or areas which offer significant synergies with the current business.

If this happens the shares will probably take an initial hit -- remember, Wall Street is chronically myopic. But as the advantages of the acquisition(s) become apparent the share price will once again march higher at an accelerating pace. That, for example, has been the pattern of TYC of many years (TYC has been a very long-term hold for me).

TTFN,
