Nobody said that nicotine addiction is the same as heroin addiction. You first said that nicotine addiction is "crap." If you mean to say, you don't think nicotine is as addictive as heroin, you've set up a straw man, because no one is arguing that it is. Are they?

The simple fact is that not all people become addicted to addictive substances. That does not prove anything about the ones who do. Scientists do study the parameters of populations of addicts, and non-addicts, but they are slow to jump to conclusions.
