William, we have been told that VLNC found it desirable to "quarantine" all product for 30 days after production, thus Inventory will indeed be a problem for VLNC, amplified by this quarantine period.

My Comments...

What is relevant is that we have gone off the subject dickering about one point in my original post this morning about the possible resistance of the laptop OEMs to Valence's new battery and we have digressed too far. Let's get back to the substance of it, which is, Valence and their possible marketing strategy based on what we know now. I suggest that you reread the speculation and make your comments. That might be useful.

With all due respect, Bill, I read the speculation, and I made my comments. I pointed out the fact that one of your statements...

When American manufacturers make something they want to make it large quantities to achieve the lowest possible unit costs. They are not interested in small runs. This crosses all lines of business. Small runs are not profitable.

... was simply incorrect.

That was a substantive comment. You were implying that no American manufacturing company can make a profit with small production runs. That statement was/is/always will be incorrect. If you don't wish to have to defend your position, then you should resist making such absolute statements which are simply incorrect.
