have you successfully defragged before?

did you check the 'select drive' and 'advanced' buttons on the defrag tool?

are you using a utility like norton to defrag? could it be that you are trying to use the windows defrag tool when another defrag utility is installed on your puter?

do you have tech support from your pc manufacturer?
