James,

>> I guess you can tell that I'm not one of his blind cult followers.
Don't you think;:-))

Being one of the few people who lost money in amzn both long and short, I guess it i best to avoid all comment. But just a question. If in fact Jeff B. has been secretly hedging his stock, is he liable for share holder suits ? And would that account for a lot of extra shares in the market that simply do not allow a new high to last beyond an hour or so ? I am still puzzled by the speed of the collapse from 220, and how it caught everyone (except one) by surprise.

Other than Bezo ,anyone else would, unless they're hiding something!!

James, Bezos is not responsible for the retailers.
Total Amzn shares is 160M
Bezos and other insiders own 60% of the 160M, that's 96M
Big boys(institutions) own approx. 35% of the 160M, that's 56M

a. The retailer+e-daytraders own 5% of the 160M, that's 8M
b. The short interest is 11M, therefore the retailer+edaytraders own a total of(approx.) 20M Amzn shares.

Bezos has told the small guys many times in the past 6 months to hold a very small Amzn position and only if one has a large portfolio.

p.s. the convertiable bond shares is not even considered here.

I know if I criticized you, you'd answer me back. Other than Bezo ,anyone else would,

Amazon just started having their conference calls avaliable to the media and the public. Prior to that, we had to read the slant from the analysts. We could not read or hear the original words. That was not a common practice.
