I saw a documentary recently that said 1% of heroin addicts kicked each year. I just count my blessing that no one (so far) close to me has become involved in that. Cigarettes, alcohol, bad diet caused the death of my father at 54. Way way too young.

Well on a happier note I am off to a BBQ in a different city by the bay...CYA

Some studies show that nicotine addiction is tougher to break than heroine addiction.

I cannot say more than I have already. I know many for whom this is not the case, and the scientific literature says that some have a serious problem, some don't, and the factors affecting the different reactions are unclear....
