Makes you wonder who is actually being manipulated by the Chinese

Another possible advantage for Bejing is to demand a degree of respect for Chinese "interests" that the US was not willing to pay more than lip service before.

They've certainly gotten our full attention. So for these reasons one never knows what kind of high stakes game is being played here.

Kinda makes you wonder if the bombing of the Chinese embassy was as much a mistake as we're claiming, or rather one more chess move in a game none of us will fully understand. And then you have to wonder what the Chinese have done to provoke such a high risk gambit.
