I'm not so sure. Companies that actually do R&D like IBM and CPQ are not like to pay 50% extra for a product with no benefit, but companies like Dell and GTW that do what INTC tells them may well play the RDRAM game. If they can convince customers to pay extra for computers that don't run faster, RDRAM may make a comeback.
