OT

Thread.....

I am a dell holder and do not post often. Just wanted to say that I hope all will take a moment and remember and pray for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom and liberty that we enjoy and oft times take for granted. HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

Sig,
Hi!!

RE: Re Dell acquisition
My first guess would be an ISP (build or buy) because it would be
a fast growing area which would use Dells present products of servers and mass storage assemblies. There are problems with this as it seems unknown what the ISP's will be able to charge in the future because of intense competition. Will have to count on Dell to measure the risk/reward of the venture, whatever it is.

From the first few messages of this thread...I learned that this was a stock founded by a "dreamer"...Learned another important thing as time went by:

NEVER NEVER NEVER....BET AGAINST MICHAEL DELL

Best, Kemble

Dell, Microsoft Invest in Developer of Web Television Programs

New York, May 31 (Bloomberg) -- Dell Computer Corp. and Microsoft Corp. have invested in Digital Entertainment Network, a start-up company developing youth-oriented television programming for delivery over the Internet, the New York Times reported. Their investments, the amounts of which weren't disclosed, are part of $26 million in venture capital financing set to be announced this week. Microsoft and Dell will own small stakes in Digital Entertainment, a Santa Monica, California-based company that's expected to file for a public stock offering soon, the paper said.

Microsoft, the world's biggest software maker, earlier this month said it invested $17.8 million for a minority stake in CareerBuilder Inc., an online provider of job listings.
