- what kills me on this Clintonista suit is that MSFT is extremely restrained

- yes - as far as the desktop for the PC - they dominate the OS & application

- but that's where it stops vertical & horizontal expansion stops

- heck - look at Apple - they went for the software, hardware, etc..

- doesn't coke & pepsi own the bottlers?

- look at the way the paper companies own the forrests; plants; distributions; etc...

Andy, You are going to find a lot of people that could be considered "left-liberal" even in the investment community. Living in Canada, I am against guns, but in the USA I would be considered a liberal just because of this view--i think. I find it mind boggling how a country like the US could allow people to carry guns around and then blame tv violence for school shootings etc...

Andy: You are correct. MSFT including Gates were no doubt great supporters of Clinton at one time. Their thinking was that social liberalism had no tangency to the business milieu. They are finding out how incorrect they were. It appears that the big government ideology espoused by liberals is actually congruent to the business world in the minds of DOJ. This I am sure has been a great learning experience for Billy Gates with the master (for the moment) being Billy Clinton. But this too shall pass. As the Softees begin to meet with more and more folks from the right and as they become wiser in the ways of the world their reckoning will change.
