Yes, Sam, I saw that story about the employees of that charity taking all goodies for themselves. They were caught on camera loading big cartons into their cars to take home. Not very smart, huh?

I would agree that churches should be taxed and highly regulated. It is so sad to me how poor, unsophisticated and gullible people are suckered into parting with money they really need, to support very rich evangelists. However, some devout ministers and priests do really believe what they are preaching, and are not in it for personal gain. I do think it is important to differentiate between these two groups of people. I guess you could call them the duped and the duplicitous or something!

Sam,
It sounds like you are looking for perfection, so where else to look first but the "church". Instinctively you know who should make an example to the "world". Um, confused but in the right direction. Has it occured to you that by not trying to reach the world thru LOVE and the "many" pathways of different
churches, however you could choose your own, that you sir are worse than they that try. I mean well-meaning citizens that attempt to "give to those in need", whose heart IS in the
right place, and GIVE. Giving doesn't
have to be money, it could be many things - time, one-on-one helping, etc.
If you are "mad" why don't you do something helpful and meaningful. To
"steal" is not the same as to give to
help where help is needed. Stop complaining, get off your mad duff and
YOU make a move to set an example for the rest of us, okay???
