I did see that TENS units help (black boxes that generate low voltage electricity, stimulate the nerves and muscles) and so does acupuncture. I will look again, it would help to know exactly what the injury was. PM me if you prefer.

Gee wiz...I didn't know you had this situation in your life. I would listen to CB. I think there are many alternatives to your Dr.'s point of view. They get tunnel vision. What about people that help athletes with sports injuries. Seems like they would know what it takes to get your muscles back in shape.

I needed to drop some weight (got in an unhealthy rut). I knew about this personal trainer through a friend. I was debating going to this guy. He had his own studio (gym) and he offered a complete package of weight training and nutrition guidance. I mentioned to my DR. I wanted to drop the weight and he said he had something for me. It was that crap that puts a hole in your heart. Luckily I opted for the trainer. He was great. He got to the root of the problem. He would not let me off the hook for a minute. No excuses. I loved it. Bottom line...Dr.'s don't know everything.

Have you tried the putty that pharmacies sell? Squeeze it and roll it. Gives your hand a full range workout. And you can do it while drinking beer and watching the Avs.
