Can someone help me out, I have been trying to run scan disk on my windows 98 computer, the scan disk constantly restarts and goes back to the beginning, I receive the error message, "scan disk has restarted ten times, a program keeps writing to this drive" I have no programs open that I know and I even have run defragment, but it does not help. Anybody have any idea on how I can locate the program that is running, or how to correct this problem, Thanks in advance

thread,

from time to time i like to mention this site because i think it is so beneficial.

tipworld.com

go there and browse around and see if there aren't some subjects that you'd like to learn more about. they'll email tips to you each day. you might want to look for the little box to check all the way at the bottom of the subscription page where they ask if it's okay to send you product info from various vendors. imo, that's a good box to leave unchecked. ;)

cool thing about tipworld is that it is so easy to unsubscribe or add subjects or delete them. i highly recommend their free service.

:)
