The overall market is vulnerable to interest rates, Y2K fears and
political turmoils and thus is vulnerable to go down significantly.
The internet valuations are continuing their downward corrections
as seen by NASDAQ declines. In addition the near term DOJ trail
news is keeping a lid on MSFT price.

Normally, around this time of the year, analysts start looking ahead
into next fiscal year and start revising their numbers that pushes
the stock prices of big techs higher. I was expecting a push to 100
on MSFT by July expiration. I need this to happen to breakeven on some
expensive options. But that seem to be getting harder as days go by.

This is the reason why I like long term investing as opposed to short
term. But sometimes, I get carried away by the thread and do some
short term.

Anyways, no can really tell where msft will be by July 16th. The stock
swings +-20 in 1 month rather easily. If we get a news of either a
DOJ settlement or an earnings upward revision from CFO, the stock
would move up sharply and quickly.
