Keith, Aastra has been profitable since Q4-98 and started paying income taxes then (hence the difference between operating income and net income on their P&L statement for Q4) and will now expect to continue to pay taxes as a profitable company.

The CFO's EPS estimates for 1999 given to me in Feb were "high 20's to low 30's". What J-R and I are saying is that on Feb 24, it is doubtful that the CFO could have foreseen the big jump in revenue that was reported for the quarter ending Mar 31. Plus if you look at past company forecasts for revenues, they're quite conservative and end up delivering higher than forecasted.

It's on this basis that we feel that 0.30 is likely quite low for total 1999 EPS.
