>>Sad to see it go, this has been a great thread, lots of kernels in the chaff.

This lurker will ditto that.

My investing is such that I no longer buy shares over $15. I like the excitement (not to mention the profit) on run-ups such as mcf, bii, gle and those to come. I don't promote my holdings and I do realize the shortcomings of mimicing the trading of someone with a different profile (either more or less). Something is to be learned from everyone.

I thank those who have been actively posting, you've helped me increase my holding. It is your choice as to what you do, post or not post. the only thing I can do is reiterate my thanks for favours past.

Trade long and profit
Harry

I have received numerous PM's indicating that the our thread has deteriorated badly over the last couple of months. I would tend to agree. The plain and simple fact is that what was "thrown in as a filler" a couple of months ago is now monopolizing this thread.

About two months ago, we ran into a "dry spell, where MOMO on stocks had ceased. As a "filler" an indicvidual said "for a laugh" here is a .05c stock that has MOMO! From that point on, we became penny-players, and have reduced the thread content to a penny thread. This has created problems in my impression.

1) We have attracted the penny pumper trying to pump his own stock to create MOMO
2) We are so pre-occupied with reading endless messaging on .02c stocks that in the end, people are not watching anything else.
3) We have redirected the purpose of the thread, which was to educate people on how to Daytrade responsibly.

We still have notices of MCF BII GLE etc etc but they are becoming a minority......is that what we want??? I am a daytrader, I don't play pennies, so I find that I am being alienated from contributing to this thread because of its direction. It was not my intention to start another penny thread, it was to start a "Daytrading thread". I realize that there are many that Daytrade Pennies, thats fine, but thats not what Professional Daytraders do! Pro Daytraders, use fundamental and Technical Analysis to dtermine entry points based on MOMO.......one could argue that people do the samething when entering pennies, but no matter how you "slice it" you can't use any tools to support penny stocks!!!

In the end I think we are all losing site as to why the thread was started. We all noticed that it was degrading and couldn't figure out why!! I have received a large number of PM's stating this...so what is the answer??

I was asked by PM about two weeks ago why the thread "doesn't "discuss" strategy, or "post mortem", or trading techniques anymore. I haven't answered that question yet, because I was trying to figure out why. I have the answer....how do you discuss any of this....when trading a .05c stock, that used to be a mining stock that thinks it might go internet, but hasn't done it,yet???? We have now been motivated by the "double" of a penny, sacrificing the aim of a "responsible daytrader"! Our ability to pick MOMO in some new stocks are being hindered by the incessant barrage of the .02c-10c winners!

I would suggest that if we really want to move this thread back to its origins, then we will have to set a "dollar limit" of a stocks value. My vote would be for $3.00 but this isn't a dictatorship, so I would like to hear from all of you. I don't want to elliminate some $2.40 favorites so, that is why we should discuss it!

Again, this is not an attack on penny-players, its just that there are about 15 threads that deal with pennnies.......do we want this one to join that "elite" group??????I received huge numbers of PM from lurkers and contributors that this was the best thread on SI. I now receive messages from the same people saying this thread is now "just another penny thread"!

As a last point, if you choose to set a minimum price for a stock that is above the pennies....then we will logically go thru another "dead period, as it takes the brain sometime to re-adjust to searching harder for the winners in a smaller group.

Please post your "vote" and I will keep track of the tallies. Whatever the decsion of the majority i will abide by, and ammend the rules of the thread!!

Thanks for your time!!
