NASA launches a space shuttle, manned by a specially trained monkey and one human astronaut. Whenever a blue light flashes in the shuttle, it means NASA has an order for the monkey; a flashing red light means an order for the human astronaut.

The blue light flashes. "Adjust turbine speed" orders NASA. And the monkey does it. "Specify your coordinates" orders NASA, and again the monkey does it. Again and again, the blue light flashes, NASA orders a complex technical task to be completed, and the monkey does it perfectly.

The human astronaut is feeling very much like a third wheel at this point. FINALLY the red light flashes. "It's about time you asked me to do something up here..." says the human astronaut to NASA. "I was starting to wonder just why I was included in this mission..."

NASA responds, "Shut up and feed the monkey!"
