Merrill Lynch, probably too busy with its new internet trading news, is certainly not doing much of a job for Checkfree. I can't remember any internet-related stock losing about 15% of its value on a secondary announcement, especially since they are only diluting about 4%. Might be a good idea to fire Merrill and give the secondary to a firm which can manage the offering while avoiding such a huge drop.
