It's not so much a matter of belief as an instinctive reaction. My current wife is more of a force of nature than a creature of logic so arguing logic or tactics with her would be akin to arguing with a thunderstorm or debating the tides. Every indication is that we are in it for the long haul. If not, it's far more likely that I will need an attorney to probate my will rather than represent me in a divorce.

A funny thing is, over the years, both of my ex's and I have become friends. Both of them have, at one time or another over the last several years, stayed with us as a matter of convenience or expedience while visiting the Atlanta area. It's made for some interesting conversations on the veranda. Strangely, none of us has a nice thing to say about our former attorneys. Is this a common phenomenon?
