pawn,

re: If everybody discovered that then why INTC's main production base is
still in Japan? Japanese population is aging and can not meat the
new challenges. As a result, INTC's chips are not fully Y2K compliant.
Also INTC pay much higher production expense there.

You are really clueless, most of Intel's production is in the USA.

Let me get this straight, Old Japanese are not Y2K compliant?

I'm resisting the use of the term "imbecile" but it's hard. Intel has no production facilities in Japan.

First of all welcome to the Intel thread.

It is great to get a new fresh perpsective on Intel.

Most of the Intel thread doesn't like to hear bad news on their company.

I also think this Japanese Y2K problem could be a major problem particularly for Intel.

AMD by the way is using german folks from Dresden to help it catch up with Intel.

Just wait and see the effects of AMD's new Fresden Fab on Intel stock coupled by the y2K problem early next year.

Regards,

Kash

You have no idea what you are talking about, do you? Intel does not have any major manufacturing operations in Japan.

If you truly believe any of these sentences and their implications, I fear you will have a very short investing career. People can disagree over the interpretation of facts. But getting so many facts so wrong in one short paragraph suggests major cognitive problems. Major.

This is a put-on, right?
