This Friday's # just became less important. A flat # will not help at this point. A strong # will confirm the tide toward tightening. A weak # will help, but it will have to be much weaker to stop the trend.

There is a shortage because the homebuilders are building at a breakneck speed! I saw an article that some are going to sites where they are building customer homes and removing the drywall to put in the spec homes to show potential customers. Home Depot here is limiting 10 sheets per trip. Our builder says that if you are a builder with a bad rep and a slow pay, you are moved to the end of the line. We had no problem getting the drywall for our new home being built now.
