You would ask this question:

"If you were a member of the other group, which way would you tell me to get out of the forest?"

Then go the other way.

Or, since there isn't a two-path choice, ask which way would a member of the other group tell me does NOT leave the forest. Then go that way.

The way I hear it was you're in a rain forest populated by two tribes -- one is cannabalistic (sp?) and lies every time. The other tribe is peace loving and tells the truth every time. You come to a fork in the road and you're lost. A Tribesman is at the fork. You don't know which tribe he belongs to and you can ask him only one question. What should you ask?

The answer is a straightforward one:
"Which way leads to your camp?" Members of both tribes will always point you to the truth-tellers' camp...
