No insults? What's wrong with us?

Actually it's kind of hard for me to work up anything approaching anger or venom.

Everyone on this thread needs to spend a week or so fishing with a 12 year old, enjoying the smell of pine woods, and watching the sun rise over a fog shrouded lake without once looking at a television or newspaper (or touching a PC). It does wonders for your perspective.

Wrong. The only organized "ethnic cleansing" was being committed by the Kosovar Albanians for years mistreating and kicking out the Serbs...Check the population figures...

George, George... oh George....

The Kosovars Albanians have had the highest birth rate in all of Serbia for decades (that happens quite often with people in poor agricultural economies who require large families to operate their farms plus the Islamic influence against birth control).

The Serbs have been jetting off from Kosovo, leaving the relatively low paying jobs in the coal and lead mining industry in order to seek their fortunes in the big city of Belgrade.

Unfortunately, Kosovars haven't had the same mobility to travel outside of their region. Although there are Albanians living in northern Serbia, it is a small percentage of the Serb population and the Serbs have no problem ensuring that it stays that way.

Think about it.... The jobs and the money lie in the industrial regions of Serbia, around Belgrade. Don't you think Kosovars would like to be able to participate in that job market?? I wonder why they haven't been able to?? Could it be Serbian systemic and cultural segregative policies??

It is only natural for Kosovar Serb children to dream about getting the hell out of their economically depressed region and forsake the the lifelong wishes of their fathers that they should replace them in the mines.

The same happens in West Virginia.

So knock off the BS in trying to claim the Kosovars were "bullying" the Serbs and forcing them out. It is unsubstantiated and not reflective of the economic realities of that region's history.

The reality is that the Kosovar Serbs seized economic opportunities that were not open to their ethnic Albanian "brethren".

And who can blame them for that?

Regards,

Ron
