Hmmm. I smell something funny.

Personally, I'm not quite ready to sell my position just yet. On the other hand, I find it amusing that I can now add to my position @ 47 and tender @ 62. In fact, I also happen to have some out of the money July 55 calls that I could use to do the same thing.

All right... here's my play: I'll tender my entire position at 62, and then buy it back at 55 or at market, whichever is lower. that's at least 7.75/shr in profit.

So are we going to get a tender offer in the mail? How is this thing going to work?

Laz

>I have decided not to tender>

Would you explain why you would not tender your current shares? By your reasoning you will give up approximately 17% of your position at a substantial premium to the current price. Seems obvious that to tender makes sense. Am I missing something? Would appreciate an explanation. Thanks in advance.

teddy.

a long-overdue thank you for your response. my, how overcome by events we are in such a brief fortnight. will someone sensible stop this carousel? my head's spinning.

one question: hypothetically speaking, if shareholders approve QWST's buyout of USW, couldn't USQwest potentially own a slice of global crossing (i.e., given USW is buying 9.5% ahead of the GBLX merger)?
