Rick, The most important thing is to do it right! Is the insurance company paying for this new drilling in the relief well?

Rick,
I was obviously unclear. I meant to compare the #1RS (as you defined it) compared to Cal Canal #1. i.e if my 60 days is correct or even 75 days per oil cos for #1RS then why would CC #1 take 120 days when it is supposed to be less complex and shallower?

Dave

Hi Rick,

Did you have an opportunity to attend ELK's AGM today ??

Apparently ELK said:

They'll kick off the whipstock Fri or Sat.

The target point for the intercept is about 500 feet from #1 wellbore.

The geology of Cal Canal is quite different (i.e. it's a simple anticline with defined closure in 4 directions) from that of ELH and the other new prospects which also are located along the fold belt.

Later,
grayhairs

P.S.-- As to what we call the next whipstock off ELH #1R, my vote is definitely for "The first producer !!". <<GGG>>
