There you go again, making up FUD. Were your parents "cousins"?

Yousef: re "Do you believe Jim's estimate..."

As I've stated before on SI, I am reluctant to post my earnings estimates due to the legal considerations arising from my employment. So let me answer with a question - what are the odds of an earnings report for 2Q99 that settles the valuation argument?

I would think that the longs are looking for meaningful profitability to justify much higher prices, while the shorts are betting on severe financial dislocation putting the company to the wall. The key questions would therefore continue to revolve around the performance characteristics of the K-7, its manufacturing ramp and its OEM/end-customer acceptance. I, for one, find it difficult to believe that early July will offer satisfactorily conclusive evidence for any but the first of those questions.

The vehemence that often accompanies postings on this thread is probably due to the wide spread of possible answers to these questions, the dichotomy between the company's potential and its achievements to date and the substantial leverage embedded in its earnings and stock price. Highly unlikely that the June quarter's EPS report changes any of that combination. - Tad LaFountain
