most of your commentary is enlighted by historical insight. But you should have known, that the vast majority of jews expelled from Spain
did not go to the Netherlands nor England when they were forced out. They went to SERBIA, where they were heartily greeted and caused a period of cultural flourishing. (Strange you didn't mention this country, considering the topic of this thread).
