From the same place where you found the 2.5% sequential increase strut strut strut You normally respond to the most recent post but yesterday you went back a bit - did you neglect to see the 1.85 * 1.15 and the 2.5% and the 1999 Q4 post strut strut strut 150 mil out of 1.85b at 30% is good but not hugely relevant strut strut strut Still waiting where you found your 2.5% sequential growth in the press release strut strut strut 1.85 * 1.15 strut strut strut Just as aggressive as my 1.85 * 1.15 strut strut strut Loved your 2.5% post and the head handed to me and all those other grandiose statements - is the egg in your face ruining your ability to see things clearly. Then again lawyers have distorted vision anyway. strut strut strut This is a robust growth area and sub-segments are growing even more rapidly techweb.com

Jock:

The vision thing again or just the comprehension thing? Re your comment: 'You have merely stated that LSI Storage Systems is mentioned in EMS's 10 K as a competitor' - read my post again I said: 'Metastor was NOT mentioned in EMC's 10-K' not that it WAS mentioned in EMS's 10-K! Aye Caramba strut strut strut LSI lists Adaptec, Clariion of DGN, EMC, MTIC, Mylex, Network Appliance as competitors in LSI's 10-K (read these things some time) strut strut strut go back and listen to c.call comments about how lead times in Storage Systems are longer than semis (much longer) and it will take till Q3 (?) to get the lead times down strut strut strut Heck I remember listening to some 'record' stuff about Storage Systems in the c. call. To verify I went back to YOUR c. call summary - 'Storage systems had record revenues' & 'Very strong growth for host adapter boards as well as other storage components--both ASSPs and ASICs ' from Message 9038473 Bingo verified Q3 lead time comment as well 'Will take to 3Q to bring leads times down in storage' strut strut strut Dang I'm getting good real good at the search engine stuff strut strut strut <edit: scrap scrap scrap the whole INTUITION thing> strut strut strut Also how come in one of your earlier posts where you wanted to teach me about the difference in naming between Storage Components and Storage Systems and where you said something to the effect 'BTW it is Storage Components that is doing well' how come you now have no comment when I now show you several times that Wichita Kansas's Storage Systems is really doing 'more than just well'. More Yolk on your face? strut strut strut Wasted Time: 5hrs 20 mins <sigh>

This was Jock teaching me:
Message 9867263
'These figures are utterly irresponsible and demonstrate an utter lack of
knowledge of LSI's basic business structure. Specifically, your entire premise is wrong
because LSI Symbios semiconductor and LSI Symbios storage components are the
same division. Thus, I sincerely question your ability to make any kind of reasonable
projections on LSI since you lack even this basic knowledge. Obviously you cannot
have two different percentages of growth for the same division. For the record, the two
different divisions are Storage Components and Storage Systems (as well as
Computing, Consumer, Telecommunications, and Networking). For the record, it's the
Storage Components Division that is going gangbusters.
'

Now of course speaking purely logically by saying Components is going gangbusters he is making no real comment about Systems. But realistically he is painting the egg right back on his face. strut strut strut
