Doesn't Intel want to play Switzerland and be the component provider to everyone
in the industry?

Play Switzerland. I like that. Makes a lot or sense, vs. going up against a gorilla in a field they are not experienced in. Hope Intel garners a healthy portion of the world's money too, like Switzerland has.
