<<Ms. Gibson read to reporters a statement that said: "From time to time, MCI Worldcom employees, sometimes acting on their own initiatives, register domain names they believe may be potential targets of domain-name squatters. In this case, the action is not an indication of official company intention.">>

Did I miss something here? Did they ever say they were NOT in negotiations with skytel? The registering of the domain name was done by an employee on their own initiative and WAS NOT ENDORSED BY A COMPANY OFFICIAL. The statement refers to the registering of the domain name as not being an indication of official company intention. She did NOT state that there were NO official company intentions.

Guess the lawyers must make a living too. There will no doubt be some class action suit for all traders who lost money because they cannot comprehend what they read, or they make incorrect assumptions.
