I wouldn't dismiss Fortune Magazine so cavalierly. Fortune has a big institutional and corporate following and is widely read. Whether you want to trust it or not is up to you. As you know we live in an imperfect world, and much published material, especially financial, is done so with a certain aim or purpose in mind. Sorry that I don't conform to just publishing positive things about a stock. The proper refutation of negative things/points of views that are said about a stock and/company is through airing them in public and then pointing out flaws and weaknesses in the argument. At least that's always been my belief and guiding principles. Shorts are still active in this stock, as evidenced by the Fortune article, and I for one, as an investor who now holds a substantial (for me) six figured investment in the company want to know what they're saying and who's saying it. To not do so is to commit a serious strategic as well as tactical blunder when one approaches the battle of investment survival. Those who've suffered financially by buying this stock at substantially higher prices might have saved themselves some pain had they known the depth and personality of forces arrayed against them. Having over 19% of outstanding shares shorted at one time, tells me there is/was some big, deep pocketed serious money that wanted to see this stock go down big-time. Just as in winning at poker, you have to understand the players you're sitting down with for a "friendly" hand, just as much as the game itself...that is if you are serious about winning money. Having a son who's asthmatic who has had several attacks serious enough for emergency room treatment gives me a second and more important reason for seeing this company succeed. Shorting stocks is a part of the game on Wall St. However, I find it as repugnant as the next person for shorts to savage a company trying to bring medical products to market that will better the lives and health of human beings. But that doesn't mean I only bring out good things that people say. This is a forum, and many people/investors, including myself, look to these threads for information, understanding, and advice. They have a right to read both good and bad. But hey, that's me. Peter.
