Interesting call from QNTM. It sounds like the Desktop is miserable (at least the part of the Desktop in which QNTM operates). The low-end PC ($600 & $800 PCs) growth is very strong (re: the U-4) ... and QNTM is not there. The High-End is strong (obviously not bad for SEG). Distribution channel pricing is very aggressive (could be influenced in part by SEG's new distribution strategy) ... down 16% pricing at the desktop ... Very evasive and weird call. To me, it sounds like QNTM is missing the sweetspot ... especially in the U-4 class of drives ... and the Atlas 10K is not substantial in the High-End. --Duker
