<<Well, has this perhaps caused a more severe pricing as any weakness in demand would
hurt pricing power?>>
Have not heard anyone talk of demand not being good. Unfortunately, with the amount of excess capacity demand has to be great to stem severe price erosion. Fortunately, it seems as if things are becoming so ugly that attrition is now a real possibility.

With respect to HTCH they have seen some improvement and are cautiously optimistic regarding demand. I continue to be amazed that HTCH receives so little attention given the excellent growth fundamentals of the drive industry as a whole and HTCH's increasing dominance of the suspension business. If there were only four drive companies, one was about to check out and one of the other three had technology several yrears ahead of its competitors as well as highly proprietary technology, I suspect people would find that pretty exciting. -Z
